Historic trail in danger

In Nevada County, there is a dispute over a Historic Trail. This trail was a emigrant trail that help travelers in the 1800's travel to California. Some people are trying to get easements in place so that the path this trail was on does not became private property. Homeowner asked the Nevada county to pose a year long moratorium to allow the public to have use of the trail. The people are worried about losing more of there trails. They have been saying once they lost it, it was gone forever.
